Dear LIMS/Inspirees' Students,

As Chief Executive Officer and Director of Arts & Culture of the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, LIMS®, I would like to bid you a warm welcome to the LIMS Certification Program in Laban Movement Studies, offered in China in collaboration with Inspirees Institute, and to express how glad I am with your interest in studying with us.

I would like to take this opportunity to share a quick background on our organization and the development of the Program you are engaging in. LIMS® was founded in 1978 in New York City by Irmgard Bartenieff, with one course of study - Effort/Shape- and about 15 students. Today, more than 70 students are enrolled every year, in seven LIMS Programs around the world, and many more are studying LMA/BF specific applications in numerous fields.

We have been tenacious in maintaining small group size in order to offer a high level educational Program and ensure every student deep understanding of movement. LIMS' methodology is the result of almost 40 years of engagement and reflection on the part of LIMS Faculty and leadership striving to offer the best experiential/theoretical approach to Laban Movement Studies: one that could make a difference in a person's life and career. The way our graduates have been impacting the communities they are involved with attests to the quality of the work we have been doing.

Since I was already a LIMS CMA even before the Institute became an official organization(LIMS class of 1974), I have had the pleasure of closely following LIMS' extraordinary path, the Program's evolving methodology, and the abilities and love of so many to keep the organization alive and true to its mission during times of amazing and unheard of challenges and changes throughout the world. I feel profoundly grateful to be part of this history and privileged to have been directly involved in the LIMS leadership for the past 16 years!

Every year, professionals in the competitive and quickly transforming world we live in face decisive questions: "I already have a degree, but…should I study more? What should I study then? Where should I study? Why?" I feel proud that you chose the LIMS Certification Program in Laban Movement Studies at Inspirees Institute/China, which leads to the world recognized title of LIMS Certified Movement Analyst (CMA), and want to reassure you of your choice, briefly sharing a few benefits that we offer:

- High-quality and unique movement studies within reasonably sized group
